Yoga for Vitality: Free Your Shoulders, Free Your Breath with Sarah Finger
The main function of the shoulder girdle is to give range of movement and strength to the arms. However, the muscles in the chest are also responsible for freedom of the breath and proper alignment of the spine. In this session, we will explore some simple exercises to increase mobility in the shoulders, which will accommodate the free flow of the breath and the natural curves of the spine. (Note: this practice is not recommended for anyone with severe shoulder injuries.)
