  1. I’ve been thinking about this a lot. If I want a compassionate world I have to be compassionate when I’m in the world.

  2. Be the change you wish to see. I now aim to live by this and am still in process of maintaining it 100% of the time. It’s difficult, but also a direct path to self fulfillment.

  3. The energy of Gaia returning makes becoming the antidote the only way that brings peace with it. ✨✨✨ #choosepeace

  4. And I just watched codependency on how to not always be the good guy… people been not just edgy but extremely abusive… And I counter react… cause Ive had it. I am no Corona blow out subject.

  5. Yesterday I smiled at 6 people in a grocery store isle. 5 of them looked straight ahead and never made eye contact, spoke or even acknowledged another human being standing there. Expect one… I was about to give up, very frustrated & even sad tbh .. then an elderly man stepped into the space with me and not only matched my energy but raised it…

I live in the South, I was raised to be thoughtful especially when you walk in front of someone who is clearly shopping. Do they owe me something?! Hell no… of course they don’t! But the feeling coming from them… it wasn’t just unfriendly, it was extremely dense.
I don’t know why that meant so much to me, but it DID ❤️

    • When I was in school, there were girls I used to pass by in the corridors and they would just smile and say hi, and I would walk past them as quickly as possible in order to avoid any interaction.
I wanted to say hi but I just couldn’t. I could only give them a dead look in the eye.
      I was dense asf.

  6. I’ve never paid a huge amount of attention to how people interact in such basic interactions as walking through the grocery store, but I will say that I feel I’ve maybe noticed a little change in the last couple years–but I would say it’s a positive change, at least where I live. Yes, I think people are probably interacting less on the whole and wearing masks more and everything, but it feels like where I live I’ve been bumping into more people that were warm and friendly than before. It feels more like the dark is getting darker and the light is getting lighter, rather than a blanket of everyone becoming sadder. I feel like those who are aware of such changes are making more of a conscious effort to interact in a friendly manner. I live in a town of about 45,000 though in the northwest, so it could have to do with the area. I’d guess that people are more friendly in more rural areas.

  7. I was told recently, after I emotionally expressed my alliance, with boundaries, for sympathy and empathy. I stated that apathy is lethal, specifically with missing, abused and neglected children. We must individually and collectively protect the most vulnerable. To do nothing is irresponsible and immoral. Speak up, even if your voice shakes.

  8. Team work makes the dream work.
I do my best to help in this manner whenever it presents itself. I am thankful for all the hells I’ve lived through. I have become capable enough to look at a brother or a sister in the eye and at least for a moment give them gift of presence…I see you…and sometimes…I got you.
I have dreams of inviting random people over to my house for dinner and cooking something they like just so I can help them take the load off for a while…and share some care and hospitality. Welcome them and help them feel like they are home….and ask them ‘How are you?…How was your day?’ …and just be present.
A sweet good friend long ago did this for me…when I was a young stressed single mom…she was my neighbor…and then when I offered to do the dishes…she kindly declined and said she was thankful for the extra dishes this night. She and I have been close ever since for 25 years. I am blessed to still have her…she is now 91.

  9. I strive to do this every day. As a retail worker, I get a lot of grumpy and rude customers, but I always try to treat them kindly and with a smile. I try to remember that they may be going through a hard time, or maybe they just haven’t felt kindness in a long while. It’s made working a lot more fun because I feel more fulfilled with this conscious effort. ☺️

  10. Looks like the quote “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind” perfectly applies here.

  11. Love, love, love this!!!! My husband and I do this consciously everywhere we go. I love seeing people’s frowns turn into a smile 🙂 Thank you Teal for this video. Now more people are going to consciously do this! Yayyyyy!!!!! Blessings to you!

  12. if someone throws you a stone , you dont have to throw it back .. Throw a flower back instead
