To be completely honest with you, many of the self-help, new age and spiritual practices of the modern day have led to a community crisis relative to discipline. The idea of #discipline has been thrown out the window to the degree that you’ll hear people say things like: “It just stopped #feelinggood, so I knew the right thing to do, was to quit.” Or “I can’t make plans, because I don’t know how I’m going to feel at that time.” And the problem with this, is that some people are forgetting that discipline is an essential element of overall life satisfaction.

    • Hehe, there also take what you have and give it the right attitude and sure to turn in your favor. I talk from experience, nor I read books. Give everything good attitude regardless of what it is. Watch real magic happen. Is like raising a baby, you treat it kind loving compassion, fun, laughs, you give it good attitude now the older it gets you stop giving them such attitude as a new born so they change, because you turn to parent who careless of a child, New on the way he get the treatment grow older treat him like the other child. This why many kids grow up the way they grow up in this old generation which is gone, is new generation already here hehe, so how you treat self goes a long way…. if you treat self how other do, you never see the good in all things that is…. you think with flesh which one are you the head or the tail? Base on reading the books and taking that opinion makes you what head or tail?

    • Exactly! Discipline has been my biggest obstacle in every area of my life for decades

    • @mrscott01 Same. It’s really held me back in many, many areas. I’m glad to be reminded of that so directly in this video. I have so much work to do.

    • @mrscott01 Strangely, overcoming your discipline hurdles only requires that you do ‘that’ thing that you know you must do to its full completeness everyday NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL. You not being in the mood or not feeling like it is your biggest hurdle!

    • Same here honestly, I’ve never met her personally but yet I have so much trust with her and what she says. I’m glad she’s on YouTube helping us evolve so much!

Sometimes I’ll get on a roll creating something and I get super excited about it to the point I just revert to binging or distraction to avoid the excitement and sense of fulfillment I’ve achieved as a result of whatever it is I’m working on. I seems that feeling good is somewhat foreign & uncomfortable to me.

    • I think indeed Andrew Huberman talked about this in some podcast. It is possible that we learn to accept a certain feeling as a baseline and then our neurochemistry/resources optimze for keeping up that state. So as soon as this homoeostasis or equibilirium is disturbed you do something to get it back.
      Its also said, that gambling addicts might chase the feeling of loosing as much as the thrill of winning at some point.

      Or could it be coincidence or I wonder what the celestial bodies are like this period of time.

    • If I’m not mistaken, she actually knows the dominant vibrations in a certain day or period and I guess she makes most of her videos by taking those in consideration

  11. I desperately wish I could share this with my clients, but, my company would have my head for it. Weight loss and health take major discipline to undo decades of bad habits as well as friends and family discouraging changing to a healthy lifestyle. Motivation is hard for so many people in that position and discipline is going to be their only hope.

  13. I think everyone, not just artists, would benefit from reading “The War of Art,” as it talks heavily about resistance… It’s an easy read that helps immensely with discipline and productivity, if those are important to you….

  14. How to approach discipline when it turned you into a rock hard, perfectionistic personality? As a woman I used masculine energy to become a high-achiever. Someone that does it all. It drove me to a severe burn-out.
