I like how at the end you asked if humans are all just insane. Maybe we are, but at least it’s all fun to think about. And if it is all just our imaginations then how fortunate we are to have minds capable of producing such awe inspiring thoughts . I think a balanced approach is the best way forward. Never stop advancing the physical sciences or the spiritual sciences. History shows that every time we think we have things figured out there’s always some earth shattering new idea that comes along and changes our understanding forever. The physical sciences are relatively easy to understand and observe. For spirituality on the other hand it is necessary to take a different perspective. We don’t have the ability to show spiritual progress as a species the way we can with technology. Most people don’t even think about these things. There is a tendency to want to treat spirituality the same way we treat physics. Predict, observe, record, discuss. Maybe we need to be doing a whole lot more of that or maybe the two topics are so different that the methods used to advance and understand one will not work with the other. I hope it’s not just optimism bias. I hope there’s more to life than a brief struggle to reproduce before becoming dust.

Eloquently put, i share a lot of your thoughts, but would like to add that maybe the fields of physics and mathematics are not so different from those concepts of conciousness and spirit, and by following both branches, with each branch conciously aware of the other, they will eventually converge like boughs on a tree. Perhaps if we LAYER ‘separate’ areas of scientific study and different perspectives, like lenses in a telescope using different lines of thinking to focus in, even closer, with the most detail for a clearer picture of our collective past and our collective true nature.
Are rocks alive? Jesus said “if the people are silenced the rocks themselves will cry out” this suggests they are aware of the presence of their creator. Also, if reproduction is one of the characteristics of life this suggests that a donkey is biology not considered alive. We therefore must redefine life. The problem is we don’t keep how else to define it.

6:21 The particle doesn’t “know” when you look at it. You are a part of the same system with the particle. Superposition means mathematically that the position of the particle doesn’t have any relevance, until an interaction takes place. When a photon enters the region of probable positions, an electron needs to either be there or not be there, which is where the dice of randomness is rolled – or if you like the Many World’s interpretation: where the world splits into a world where the particle is there, and a copy world where the particle is not there, and there’s a you in both worlds and “you” are then one of the two of you. The particle doesn’t know anything. Nothing changes when you “observe” (or rather interact with) it. You simply unveil which of the two worlds you’ve always been in. The present moment is a constant approach to narrow down which world you’ve always been in by excluding all the other possible worlds you were never in. Nothing changes when you “look”. You just realise which world you were not in.

The fact that the brain doesn’t need to move (of course, axons need to reroute themselves) compared to how a heart needs to literally pump gallons of blood with immense pressure around your entire body, and it has to pump hard enough to overcome the pull of gravity… the heart is a pump, and that’s why it needs so much strength. To pump. The brain is a computer that needs alto simulate a person. It doesn’t need to lift or pump anything, just sit there and compute “you”. Not nearly as much strength is required to simply sit there and let signals pass through you.
8:34 No. The reason you can hold two ideas at once is because you literally have two neurones, or sets of neurones, that each hold their own ideas. In fact you could hold 10 ideas at once. “You” are not “one” thing. You are a collage of billions of small circuits that each simulate small ideas – ideas about temperature, the state of inner organs, external threats, emotions (which are programs that drive you to act and move from one situation to a different situation), memory of how to do things and how not to do things, as well as hypothetical ideas about what the situation could be and could not be… Evolution has shakes our brains to try and predict the world so that it can steer the body away from danger and towards sources of energy (food). Without this ability to hypothesise, we would be at a disadvantage from a survival perspective.
12:38 Pull the breaks for a moment. Spirituality IS the “duality” of spirit and material. Material reality is the REAL universal oneness. Oneness means you don’t distinguish between “you” and the rest of the universe, which is material reality. If you believe in “spirits”, then you believe in a duality that “spirit” is somehow not material. I don’t understand how so many people overlook this!
To rephrase “How can we test unreal things, when all of our tools are real?” Well, if they’re not real, why do you waste your time trying to detect them… if they’re not real?
So Spirit Science is a channel that preaches about the duality of spirit and reality, and you want to see if you can detect unreal things but complain that your tools are real. 👌🏼

@Mallic I view the universe as just existing. No purpose, no intention. Just there. Whether “I” am simulated to do stuff or not has no relevance to the general existence of the universe. Everything will be undone and reset in the end anyway when the next Big Bang arrives.
That said, since I do exist, I might as well get the best experience out of it while I’m here. And since I do have a limbic system in my brain, I do care about other individuals, and I want them to experience the least suffering and the most joy. But when we’re all gone it will be as if we were never here… which is the root of my existential angst. I want to live forever. I want to eliminate all threats to my existence (cure diseases, move away from exploding stars, find a way to cheat the universe and migrate to the other side of the next Big Bang without evaporating in the process). I don’t want to die. And that’s why I study so many scientific fields, to hopefully one day cheat death. Just so I can witness the universe with no personal agenda. Just to see it in all its eternal presence.
@Mallic In other words, individuals have importance… to other individuals. The individual has importance to me personally. But the universe couldn’t care less because the universe isn’t a conscious person like me. The universe is just a thing. People care; things don’t.

Always thought of Shrodingers cat as the example of how and why we make a certain choice. The box creates cognitive dissonance (is it alive or not). The only way to keep the cognitive equilibrium is to open the box and find out. This then decreases the dissonance. So our actions are somewhat based on keeping that cognitive equilibrium. People with schizophrenic symptoms seem to be stuck between the shared collective reality and their own. They cannot embody both 0 and 1 (cat is alive and dead). And this is where we see how everything works on the same principles. It’s the grey area between the 0 and 1, spirituality and physicality, that is important as there we find all the layers and layers of interconnectedness between the two variables.

At ~ 6:00 to me I see this more as like light from the sun, how it radiates everywhere but we only perceive it from our perspective. Like if we were able to be completely aware we’d be able to see it all but bc we are having a human experience we perceive it in part. Hopefully that makes sense, it’s often hard to put this stuff into text.
Idk if spi-sci has done it already, or if this video explains it(haven’t watched all the way yet) but it would be beneficial to talk about the body not having only one brain
i mean, there’s definitely not another “brain” in our body. however, i know our stomachs do contain neurons, and are said to be capable of feelings.

I highly suggest you dive into Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work regarding brain & heart coherence. He has done amazing research into the subjects talked about in this video and his view on the quantum field has science on a discovery path. He has a show on Gaia called rewired, which is great to start with.
I prefer the experiments of the Pythagoreans, Hermes, Aristotle, Tesla, Steinmetz, Dollard, Wheeler… As above so below… All matter is light. Phi to the negative 3rd = 1 = Phi. Electricty is a hybrid (of magnetism and dielectricity.) Water is the dipole antenna of life/consciousness, and is also the only Incommenserable geometry of the universe.
